I know I sound like an awful person for trying to change people's opinions, but it's not like runescape is well designed or even well made. And that's a fact.

If you look at the facts, the game gets maybe a 3/10 for a rating. The game's graphics are awful, the gameplay is mediocre and simple and the game is altogether a remake of all the other MMORPG's that already existed before it. As you already showed, the Community is also awful.

Therefore, why continue? It's obvious that the game sucks and it's mediocre at best, but people continue to play it as the game continues to exist. I personally don't understand why.

Well your opinion of Runescape is exactly that: an opinion. And trying to force that opinion onto others as though it were concrete fact is another example of fascism.
I personally respect the game, I played it diligently from the sixth grade up until my first year of high school... Eventually, though, I grew tired of having to read "hey cn u sel me ur armr" and "can i hav fre stuf plz?" and decided to quit. All and all, though, the game does have it's good points. Graphics and user-interface just happen to not be those points.

Thank you. I'm glad you have the same trait as well; it's easier to reason with people when they're more levelheaded than the people they're defending, or in this case more levelheaded than some of the people defending the person being flamed.

Now I will say that while I do know that they're blowing things out of proportion (seeing as I even referred to the fact that the satire part had nothing to do with what they did) but that isn't swaying my opinion. Reading on what those people actually did is what's influencing my point of view in this case, and they have screenshots of the things they actually did. Sure, it may have been occasionally, but if a user like Snogger overreacts about someone not liking her work almost fifty times over the course of one year I think that's kind of insane.

Getting rid of people who do that is kind of a plus. You get rid of the annoying people who want themselves to look important, and you get the satisfaction of unleashing your anger on one hated person.

Now, me flaming people who like runescape only has one reason - runescape sucks. It's always going to suck, and he idolizes the game to the point where he's trying to get some godlike armor on it.

I can say I didn't expect the reaction that most of you put out - usually it's only one or two people who insult me and they jump to it instantly while everyone else sits back and sees me as the bad person in said case (which I don't argue with, I don't care if people see me that way). It's a lot easier when someone like Bleachman is on my side, though.

I'm not saying that playing Runescape is the end of the world, but I will say that it's not exactly a good hobby to get into because it's not generally a good game. It's sort of like the people who idolize Halo. These are the people who need to play better games and see that Halo just isn't that great. This is the same reason why I recommended Diablo 2.
